These are the cutest! :love: I want to try making these for my sister, but I have a couple questions if you'll permit me. :D How sturdy are they, for one? Do they stand up to everyday wear nice enough? (I mean, my sister's a computer programmer and not a football player or anything so it's not like I'm expecting extreme conditions, but I just want to make sure they'd be sturdy... XD) Also, the pins--I've seen eye pins used with various polymer clay charms and whatnot, do you just stick 'em in there and bake? I'm curious as to how strong they'll hold if that's the case.

Hi there! Sorry for the late response.. My mother has several pairs of these and wears them regularly. She's a nurse, so for as far as I know they handle daily use fairly well, hers never broke :)
I used to just stick the pins in, these days I make sure my pins have two rounds and one side I put in the Elephant and the other is for hanging the earring on, I make sure that te round/loop inside the elephant is sealed up nicely at the top, so it doesn't have the chance to fall out. And the gloss also helps keeping everything in place ;)

You can. I don't use it, I would recommend to use a 'real' glaze, just to make sure that the glaze holds longer. :)
